house rules.

IXHouse Rules
  • We hold tables for 10 minutes. If you're running late, please call. After 10 we'll assume you're not coming and offer the seat.
  • Service charge: never. Tipping is welcome but never expected. Our staff are paid a living wage.
  • Children are welcome at most hours. After 7pm the bar gets busier — we recommend earlier for families.
  • Outside food & drink: please don't. We make the croissants, we make the coffee, we make the cake.
  • Pets: well-behaved dogs are welcome on the patio. Service dogs welcome anywhere.
  • Photography: for personal use, yes. For commercial / shoots, please email us first.
  • Working from the lab: WiFi is open and fast. We ask you order something every 90 minutes if you're staying — fair on the seat.
  • Allergens: our kitchen handles wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, and shellfish. Tell the bar before you order; we'll guide you.
